Reviews / Testimonials

Dear Tracey,
I purchased the Shaggy Sheep book for my partner (Ann Pearse). It arrived this morning, she is over the moon! Her family used to keep Whiteface in Woodland when she was young and she has fond memories of one orphan in particular, she named Joe.
I have just placed another order of the Shaggy Sheep book to be sent drekt to her Mother (Margery Dommett) as a special Mother's Day gift.
We know Mother will enjoy the book as much as we are!
Thank you so much for the message to Ann written inside, it meant a lot. She has followed you for a very long time.

It’s a lovely book, so completely user friendly. It invites you to hold it, with it’s soft cover. It’s the right size for child’s hands and adult’s hands. It’s exquisite – I absolutely love it!

I’m going to carry some copies of Tracey’s new ‘Shaggy Sheep’ to the Siberian Arctic Tundra this winter, to a reindeer herders gathering. We took sheepskins last time and they will love to see this photographic record of traditional sheep, which they are so interested in. That’s why I am so excited – having wonderful photos they will appreciate so much!

I was absolutely delighted with the superb photography, the humour and beautiful sketches. It was very interesting to hear about sheep from all over the world and to see all the marvellous things that can be done with wool. Anyone who loves sheep will love this book and it is an ideal size for a Christmas or birthday present.

My name is Hillary Huey and I live in Warwich, Queensland, Australia. Some two years ago my cousin gave me your book, “Shaggy Sheep” – a wonderful read. I subsequently found your website and brought 2 sets of “Farmyard Friends” for friends who had baby boys. They are beautiful books too and are still read over and over and treasured by the families. In addition I bought a copy of “Shaggy Sheep” for a friend who owned a property on the outskirts of Warwick where she raised sheep. Like me, she thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mother loves it, especially re the Whiteface! After many tiring days (mostly nights, I guess) during lambing seasons and now well into retirement, she can sit back and look back. She's really enjoying reading about other breeds as well along with such lovely photos.
They also crossed Whiteface with Suffolk. It was a cross lamb (ram) Joe, that was Ann's favourite, which she hand reared. Broke her heart when he went to market...
Anyway, thank you for writing the message to Mother she was thrilled that an author she knows about penned something so special to her.
Best regards,
Dafydd
